Darcy is the daughter of Dave Malone, guitarist of the legendary New Orleans band The Radiators. She is also the niece of Tommy Malone, singer/guitar player for The Subdudes. Darcy Malone and The Tangle’s latest release is a four track EP called “Make Me Over”, which features their new single “Time To Be Free”.

Darcy Malone & The Tangle combine a mixture of funk, pop, jazz and rock. While combining all these, Darcy & The Tangle manage to retain an original sound and band style.

A new addition to the band is lead guitarist John Paul Carmody, winner of amateur night at the Apollo Theater.

John definitely adds a noticeable flair to the guitar work which stands out as one of the releases' strong points. The band is cooking on all songs, but one. “Time To Be Free” features some great sax lines alongside an already very well versed guitar and arrangement work.

Darcy's voice is strong and ready for prime time. She is featured on 3 out of the 4 songs. She takes a step back on “Never Wanna See You Alone”, which suffers from a subpar male lead vocal, thus one point is taken off the Eps rating mainly because this song is not quite ready.

Darcy is now following in the family footsteps and taking her own show on the road, performing in Houston, Texas tonight at the McGonigel’s Mucky Duck.
